Prime Minister Narendra Modi also highlighted the significance of the day, noting that an “exceptional International Yoga Day programme” was held at Kolkata’s Red Road, where people from different walks of life came together to practise yoga.

In his post on X, he said this year’s theme, “Yoga for Healthy Ageing”, underlined the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life at every stage of life to maintain physical and mental well-being.
