Iran’s Mehr news agency has quoted a local official as saying that no damage was reported at the Port of Sirik following a US attack. According to the report, the official said the situation in Sirik remains normal and operations at the port have not been affected.

The 'unclassified' clip shows explosions and smoke rising, but no clearly identifiable target. The US military has said the strikes hit Iranian missile and drone storage sites along with coastal radar installations.

United Nations spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said the United Nations hopes to see a 'sustained' reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.

"I think it's important that everybody live up to what they've committed to in every agreement that is signed. And I think it is important that all parties involved keep their eyes on the greater good," Al Jazeera quoted Dujarric as saying.
