US Central Command (CENTCOM) said the latest strikes began at 4:30 am IST and were aimed at continuing to degrade Iran's ability to threaten commercial shipping in the Strait of Hormuz.
CENTCOM also shared the video of the strike. According to CENTCOM, US forces struck military targets across Iran, including operations centres, aircraft hangars and drone storage sites.
Several explosions were reported near the southern part of Tabriz in northwestern Iran, while Iran's Fars news agency reported that a US projectile had hit a military site.
Iran's semi-official Tasnim news agency reported that a loud explosion was heard in parts of Bushehr and said initial assessments indicated that the US had attacked two locations.
Nour News reported that Iran's air defence systems were activated in Tehran to confront what it described as "hostile" targets.
However, Reuters quoted Tasnim, citing a Hormozgan official, as reporting that there had been no "enemy" attack or explosion in Sirik or elsewhere in southern Iran's Hormozgan province.
The latest developments come amid continued US military operations targeting Iranian military capabilities and efforts to restrict threats to commercial shipping in and around the Strait of Hormuz.
Speaking from the Oval Office on Tuesday, Trump ruled out the possibility of fresh talks, saying the US had “no interest in meeting.”
He also said US forces could soon target an area close to one of Iran’s main uranium enrichment sites, as the campaign against Iran continued to widen.
Meanwhile, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday described the conflict as a "full-scale war" with the US, saying Tehran "must be realistic and accept the natural consequences of this resistance."
