Trump posts AI video of him as doctor treating critics' 'derangement syndrome'
Donald Trump has shared an AI-generated video showing himself as 'Dr. Trump' treating celebrity critics for what he calls 'Trump derangement syndrome'. The clip extends his recent use of AI imagery and reprises a phrase long used by him and his supporters against critics.

Dressed in a white lab coat, stethoscope around his neck and introducing himself as "Dr. Trump," US President Donald Trump has shared an AI-generated video that imagines his celebrity critics as patients suffering from what he calls "Trump derangement syndrome."
The clip, shared on Trump's Truth Social platform and later reposted on X by White House Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino Jr., features an AI-generated version of the president in a white lab coat embroidered with "Donald J. Trump, MD" and wearing a stethoscope.
Presented like a television medical advertisement, the video casts Trump as a physician treating a fictional condition that he and his supporters frequently use to describe people they believe have an irrational dislike of him.
'DR. TRUMP' OFFERS A CURE TO CRITICS
The video opens with the AI version of Trump introducing himself to viewers.
"Have you or someone you know been diagnosed with TDS?" the AI Trump says.
"The symptoms can be relentless. Fortunately, I'm Dr. Trump, and I have a treatment plan."
The video then cuts to AI-generated versions of several celebrities who have publicly criticised Trump over the years, portraying them as patients receiving treatment for the fictional condition. Among those featured are Rosie O'Donnell, Whoopi Goldberg, Robert De Niro, Julia Roberts, Edward Norton and John Leguizamo.
At one point, the AI version of Trump jokes about the celebrities' supposed condition.
"I really wasn't sure I could help some of these people. They were so far gone, I wasn't really sure," he says.
'TURN OFF FAKE NEWS'
The mock medical advertisement concludes with what the AI-generated Trump describes as a straightforward prescription.
"Turn off fake news, say your prayers, and if you ever feel anxious, just have a Diet Coke like me, and you're gonna see a remarkable difference in your life."
The phrase "Trump derangement syndrome" has long been used by Trump, members of his administration and many of his supporters to ridicule critics whom they believe oppose the president regardless of the issue at hand.

This is not the first time Trump has used artificial intelligence to create attention-grabbing content.
Earlier this year, he shared an AI-generated image depicting himself as Jesus healing the sick. The image sparked criticism from both opponents and some supporters, with several calling it blasphemous. When questioned about the post, Trump rejected suggestions that it portrayed him as Jesus, insisting it represented him as a doctor instead.
The new AI video reinforces that imagery by depicting him in medical attire throughout the clip.
