At one point, the girl tried to free herself from the men and attempted to run away. However, one of them groped her from behind, preventing her from escaping. Other members of the group then joined him, grabbing her hands and pulling her towards another side of the embankment, where more men were waiting.

In the first case, which occurred on September 15, a minor girl in Bihar's Samastipur was thrashed and molested by a group of men after they spotted her with a boy on a local embankment. In the second case, a man named Lalit attacked a girl and tried to take her to his home forcefully.
Another minor harassed in Bihar town
Two cases of molestation have been reported in Bihar, with minors being groped and assaulted in Samastipur and Muzaffarpur, respectively. The cases came to light amid outrage over the Jamui episode, in which a group of men stopped and abused two minors, molesting the girl.
In the first case, which occurred on September 15, a minor girl in Bihar’s Samastipur was thrashed and molested by a group of men after they spotted her with a boy on a local embankment. Sources close to the development told India Today that the girl and the boy had gone to the embankment on a bike and were talking when the group approached them. The men first abused and assaulted the boy, after which he fled the spot.
The group then began assaulting and harassing the girl. Someone at the spot recorded the incident, and the video was later circulated on social media.
The viral video shows one of the men grabbing the girl by her hands and trying to pull her away, while another man attempted to grab her hair from behind. As she resisted, the harassment escalated, with several members of the group abusing her and making lewd comments.
During the scuffle, one of the men pressed against the girl’s breast. The group also made vulgar comments after she told them that the boy was her brother.
The video sparked outrage on social media, following which police took cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation. Within six hours of receiving the information about the case, they arrested all four accused in connection with the case. The accused have been identified as Rahul Kumar (19), Awadhesh Paswan (46), Vikash Sharma (32), and Rambabu Sahni (38).
In a statement, the police further mentioned that since the girl was a minor, they registered a case under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, POCSO Act and IT Act.
MUZAFFARPUR GIRL HARASSED, ASSAULTED; ACCUSED ARRESTED
In the second incident, a minor girl was harassed and assaulted in Bihar's Muzaffarpur. Police arrested the accused, identified as Lalit, after the girl’s family lodged a written complaint.
According to the girl's mother, Lalit tried to harass and molest her three minor girls many times in the last three months. On September 23, he attacked the three when they were outside their home. He grabbed one of the girls and tried to take her to his home forcibly.
Her mother also said that Lalit assaulted the girl when she resisted, pulling her hair and attacking her with an iron rod. Her clothes were also torn during the incident. The girl is at present under treatment in the Muzaffarpur government hospital.
Police reached the spot after being informed and began an investigation. Senior cop Kantesh Mishra said that the police arrested the accused shortly after the investigation began.
Mishra also said preliminary information indicated that Lalit may be mentally unwell and that this was being examined.
