A home guard was killed and a police constable injured after a Mahindra Thar rammed into a police vehicle in Uttar Pradesh’s Ghaziabad.
The incident took place on Wednesday near a police outpost, where 40-year-old Home Guard Kapil Kumar was deployed on duty.
Constable Praveen Kumar was also injured in the collision and was admitted to a hospital for treatment after the SUV collided with the Police Response Vehicle (PRV), a two-wheeler.
The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained, officials said. Police have arrested the Thar driver in connection with the incident, and further investigation is underway.
