A day after Jaipur Police busted an alleged cheating racket involving first-year paramedical examinations, fresh details have emerged about the conditions at one of the examination centres, where several students claimed they faced delays, confusion and multiple irregularities during the exam.

The alleged racket, according to police, was designed to help 45 first-year paramedical students clear their examinations in exchange for Rs 5.5 lakh.

Four people, including college officials, have been arrested in connection with the case.

Police said diaries, WhatsApp chats and admit card PDFs recovered during the investigation pointed to a planned conspiracy. The investigation is continuing to identify other people who may have been involved.

QUESTION PAPER DELAYS TRIGGER COMPLAINTS

The case has also drawn attention to the examination process at the Prabha Devi Memorial examination centre, where several candidates claimed they did not receive their question papers on time.

According to students, while candidates on the ground floor received their papers as scheduled, those on the fourth floor had to wait for hours before the papers reached them.

The delay led to confusion inside the examination centre, with many students alleging that they were left waiting even after the exam had begun.

STUDENTS ALLEGE EXAM MISMANAGEMENT

Candidates also claimed that several students were made to write the examination under temporary tents instead of classrooms.

They alleged that the arrangements affected the examination environment and raised concerns over the conduct of the test.

A section of students also reported other irregularities at the centre. They claimed there were problems in the distribution of question papers and overall management of the examination.

Some candidates questioned whether all students had received equal examination conditions, while others demanded a review of the conduct of the examination.

The allegations have surfaced alongside the police investigation into the cheating racket, adding to concerns over the integrity of the examination process.

Jaipur Police have not linked the reported examination irregularities to the alleged cheating conspiracy. However, officials are continuing their investigation into the racket while examining evidence recovered during the raids.

The incident has sparked demands from students for greater transparency in the conduct of examinations. Many candidates have urged the authorities to investigate the reported delays and irregularities and ensure that no student is disadvantaged because of administrative lapses.

Authorities are yet to issue a detailed statement on the allegations raised by students regarding the examination centre.
