Nilokheri (SC) is a town located just 19 kilometers away from the city of Karnal in the Karnal district of Haryana. It functions as a municipal committee and is situated on National Highway 44, approximately 143 kilometers from Delhi. The constituency is one of the 90 assembly constituencies in Haryana and is reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) candidates. Nilokheri has 13 wards.

As per the 2011 Census, the population of Nilokheri was 16,405, with males making up 52% and females 48% of the population. The town boasts an average literacy rate of 73%, with male literacy at 77% and female literacy at 69%. By 2019, the number of registered voters in Nilokheri was 135,029.
