INDIA Bloc Rally Marches To Ramlila Maidan; Seers Join Protest, Clash Over CP Market Shutdown

A massive protest rally by opposition parties, including the Congress and Samajwadi Party, marched towards Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, displaying unified optics and new protest strategies. The rally featured graffiti art by youth cadres, media trucks, and a contingent of seers leading the procession to counter anti-Hindu messaging. A major political row erupted after allegations emerged that shops in Connaught Place were forcibly closed down, hurting local traders, while analysts pointed out that shopkeepers closed voluntarily due to crowd and security concerns on a peak Sunday shopping day. Analysts discussing the demonstration observed that while the opposition succeeded in mobilising workers from Uttar Pradesh and neighbouring states with Akhilesh Yadav joining the front, genuine electoral impact will depend on addressing core bread-and-butter issues rather than relying purely on optics and symbolic messaging.
