Farmhouse nahi bulaya: Ashneer-Salman feud gets Latent-level sequel by Samay Raina

Ashneer Grover has once again found himself on the receiving end of a Salman Khan joke, and this time, he was in on it.

The former Shark Tank India judge appeared on the latest episode of Samay Raina's India's Got Latent Season 2, alongside actor Rakhi Sawant. During the episode, Raina brought up Grover's infamous encounter with Salman Khan on Bigg Boss 18. Because what is Latent all about if not digging up old graves?

Raina told Grover that he looked shaken, just like he had when he appeared in front of Salman on the reality show. The reference was clear: Salman had roasted Grover on Bigg Boss 18 over his past comments about their meeting, leaving the entrepreneur visibly uncomfortable.

This time, however, Grover took the joke in his stride. He even brought up the online jokes that followed his Bigg Boss appearance. In an attempt to give it back to Raina, the entrepeneur said, "Troller bahut bole, 'Ab tu dekh, ab tereko Salman apne farmhouse bulayega’. Bulaya nahi yaar kabhi (Trolls kept saying, 'Now just watch, Salman will invite you to his farmhouse'. He never did)."

Raina wasn't done teasing Grover though. After a contestant's performance, he asked the entrepreneur if he would invest in a robotics venture. Grover initially said no, before appearing to reconsider his answer. Raina quickly turned that hesitation into another joke. He suggested that anyone with that much intelligence would never have agreed to do Bigg Boss in the first place. Because you can’t be on Raina’s show without him getting the last word!

Grover was all prepared, it seemed. He gave it right back. He said that if he really had that much intelligence, he would not have agreed to sit on Raina's India's Got Latent panel either.

The exchange eventually circled back to Grover's much-discussed Bigg Boss 18 appearance. During the episode, Salman Khan had confronted him over his earlier claims about a BharatPe endorsement deal involving the actor.

Grover had previously spoken about the deal in podcast interviews, claiming that he had negotiated Salman's fee and suggesting that the two shared a personal rapport. But when Grover appeared on Bigg Boss 18 in late 2024, Salman disputed those claims. He questioned the figures Grover had mentioned, denied knowing him personally and even said he did not know Grover's name.

Ashneer Grover apologised on the show and later described the confrontation as "unnecessary drama". But the exchange had already become internet fodder.

On India’s Got Latent, Grover did not try to defend himself or revisit the old argument. He simply played along with Raina's jokes - perhaps accepting that when Salman Khan is the subject, jokes are best taken on the chin.
