SIR Dissent Row Highlights: A political row has erupted over the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision exercise after the Opposition, citing an Indian Express report, claimed that two Election Commissioners had dissented with Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over various aspects of the nationwide exercise. The report claimed the two commissioners had formally objected 14 times to different aspects of the SIR over the past 10 months. The EC rejected the report, saying its decisions were being taken unanimously and that individual deliberations did not reflect the poll panel's final stand.
