Karnataka allows restaurants to stay open till 3:30 am for FIFA World Cup matches

The Karnataka government has extended food service hours for restaurants, hotels, and eateries to facilitate late-night screenings of the FIFA World Cup. Following a request from the National Restaurant Association of India, food service timings have been extended from 1:00 AM to 3:30 AM on July 14, 15, and 19. The state government has urged football fans to enjoy the matches responsibly while ensuring public safety, law and order, and citizen convenience. The Bengaluru police commissioner has also issued an order emphasizing the maintenance of law and order during these extended hours. Security arrangements will be deployed to manage any situations on the ground, although major disruptions are not anticipated based on past sporting events.
