Haryana to build Rs 120 crore Circuit House near Brahma Sarovar in Kurukshetra

Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Thursday announced that a new Circuit House costing Rs 120 crore will be built in Kurukshetra on the southern side of the Brahma Sarovar. He made the announcement at an event held under the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan', a month-long campaign launched in Haryana to mark Prime Minister Narendra Modi's 25 years in public life.

Addressing a gathering at the 'Aashirwad Ka Diya' and blood donation programme at Purushottampura Bagh, Saini said the state government was continuing to work to modernise healthcare facilities, promote safe blood donation and ensure the quality of blood bank services. Several ministers in the state government took part in events held across Haryana on Thursday as part of the campaign.

During the programme, the chief minister visited the blood donation camp, encouraged donors and honoured them. He also flagged off two medical mobile units. Later, he lit a diya at the Brahma Sarovar as part of the Prime Minister's birthday celebrations, during which around 1.25 lakh diyas were illuminated at the site.

Saini said Modi had treated public office not as a means of authority but as a medium of public service, and had given the country a new direction in service, good governance and development over the past 25 years. He said the Prime Minister had dedicated every moment of his life to the nation's progress, the welfare of the poor and the upliftment of the last person in society.

He said that, inspired by this spirit of service, the 'Seva Sankalp Abhiyan' launched in the state would not remain only a government programme but would become a people's movement for service, health, cleanliness, public participation and development. He added that under Modi's leadership, the country was changing rapidly and moving towards the goal of Viksit Bharat 2047. Saini said the campaign would continue till October 17.

Later in the evening, the chief minister also attended a drone show organised at Purushottampura Bagh. The day's events centred on the campaign launch, the healthcare and blood donation drive, and the announcement of the new Circuit House in Kurukshetra.
