After dropping daughter at tuition, teacher dies as bike-borne men attack him
Government school teacher Jagdeep Singh was attacked by four youths after dropping his daughter at tuition in Amritsar. Police are examining a possible domestic dispute while scanning CCTV footage to trace the assailants.

A government school teacher was murdered by unidentified assailants in Punjab's Amritsar district, with police investigating multiple angles, including a possible domestic dispute. The deceased has been identified as Jagdeep Singh, a resident of Talwandi.
According to his family, Jagdeep Singh had gone to drop his daughter at tuition classes during the school holidays. While returning after leaving her there, he was allegedly intercepted by four youngsters riding two motorcycles. The attackers reportedly struck him from behind before assaulting him with sharp-edged weapons. He succumbed to his injuries at the spot.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Baljit Singh said police received information about a man lying seriously injured and rushed to the scene. "During the investigation, it was found that Jagdeep Singh had suffered injuries to his head and neck caused by a sharp-edged weapon. He died on the spot due to these injuries," the officer said.
Police said the victim's throat had been slit during the attack.
Based on preliminary inquiries and information gathered from local residents, investigators have also found indications of an ongoing domestic dispute involving the deceased. Officials said all possible angles are being examined and no motive has been ruled out at this stage.
Police took possession of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.
Investigators are scanning CCTV footage from the area and gathering evidence to identify the attackers and establish the sequence of events. No arrests had been reported till the filing of this report.
