A major political row has erupted following statements by former Vice President Hamid Ansari invoking Jawaharlal Nehru's warnings on communal politics. Referring to a book authored by A.G. Noorani, Ansari cited historical observations made by India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru during an officers' meeting of the Ministry of External Affairs, which were recorded by Foreign Secretary Gundevia.
