An 81-year-old former schoolmate of the Prime Minister has resolved a long-standing land dispute involving a 2,810 square metre plot in Mumbai. The dispute, which lasted over 15 years, involved a construction firm owned by a Bharatiya Janata Party Member of Legislative Assembly that had taken over the property in 2011. Following a meeting at the Maharashtra Sachivalaya with the state Principal Secretary, the municipal commissioner, and the concerned parties, the legislator agreed to relinquish authority over the plot, surrender construction permissions, and withdraw all complaints.
