The Special Intensive Revision of India's electoral rolls has sparked significant debate regarding voter inclusion and wrongful exclusion. Central to this issue are three key forms prescribed by the Election Commission of India. Form 6 facilitates enrolment for first-time voters and eligible citizens omitted from the rolls, though revisions requiring supporting documentation have drawn scrutiny. Form 7 permits voters to object to entries or seek deletions, triggering concerns over bulk filings and potential misuse in states like Karnataka and Telangana. Form 8 enables electors to correct or update existing particulars. With reports of millions of names excluded during revisions, the Election Commission has directed authorities to cross-check rolls and safeguard the franchise for all eligible electors.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has intensified his criticism of the Delhi Police over their alleged conduct towards female protesters and students. In a statement on social media, Rahul Gandhi claimed that the police's actions, including sexual harassment and brutality against women who raise their voices for democracy, have "crossed all bounds of shame." He stated that these actions are part of a calculated effort to silence dissent and instill fear so that questions are not raised against the government. Furthermore, he linked the conduct of the police to the political leadership, stating that fear of losing power manifests as violence unleashed against the nation's youth and women.

A political confrontation has erupted as the central government criticised the opposition over calls for regime change, stating that false propaganda is harming society. Leaders from the ruling party stated that the public will not back elements working against national interests. Meanwhile, ongoing demonstrations in central Delhi over resignation demands have disrupted daily routines, leading to a decline in footfall and financial losses running into thousands of crores of rupees for local traders. While opposition workers continue their demonstrations, government representatives state that such actions cause disorder and inconvenience to citizens.
