A political row has erupted over the horrific gang rape and murder of a 17-year-old girl in the national capital. An FIR has been lodged under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act. Meanwhile, the National Commission for Women has written to Delhi Police seeking a time-bound probe and demanding that the apprehended juveniles be tried as adults.
