The Karnataka Administrative Tribunal has stayed the suspension orders issued against two government school teachers from Hunasagi Taluk in Yadgir District who participated in an RSS march. Following their participation in the march organised last year, the Yadgir DDPI of the School Education Department had ordered their suspension under state government rules restricting officials from associating with political or ideological wings. Challenging the action, the teachers approached the tribunal bench in Kalaburagi. The tribunal passed an interim stay on the government suspension order, allowing them to return to work.

Kanpur Police have launched 'Operation Alert' under the Safe City Mission to bolster women's safety across public transport networks. Following an unfortunate incident involving a student in Delhi, the initiative mandates background verification for drivers and staff operating tourist buses, city buses, autos, and e-rickshaws. ADCP Crime Sneha Tiwari stated that transport operators must fill a 20-point character verification proforma and submit it to local police stations within seven days.
