A fellow rider attempted to shield her, but the car made an aggressive cut, striking her bike before fleeing the scene. Rejecting the driver's claim that his sister was inside the vehicle, she described the episode as deeply traumatizing for female riders. She confirmed that an FIR has been filed by her family and demanded strict police action, terming the act an attempt to murder.

Sia, the Gurugram woman biker, who survived a hit-and-run incident, when a car chased and rammed her on a busy road, said she will still continue to ride a bike. However, she said she felt scared and afraid to go alone after the incident.

Tamil Nadu police have registered cases against Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Member of Parliament A Raja and former minister Sekhar Babu following a complaint regarding derogatory remarks against State Minister CT Nirmal Kumar and the Chief Minister. The comments were made during a protest held at Saidapet on 12 September over assembly remarks related to the Maintenance of Internal Security Act. A Raja made personal remarks questioning the paternity of CT Nirmal Kumar, drawing condemnation from several DMK leaders, including Kanimozhi Karunanidhi. Separate cases have been registered at Saidapet Police Station and with the Chennai Cyber Crime Wing.

A Christian delegation met Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge to seek the repeal of the Karnataka Protection of Right to Freedom of Religion Act, commonly known as the anti-conversion law, which was passed by the previous Bharatiya Janata Party government in 2022. The delegation demanded 1% exclusive reservation for the Christian community under the backward class quota, nomination of a Christian member to the Karnataka Legislative Council, and appointments to boards and corporations as chairman and vice chairman to ensure political and administrative representation.
