LSR Students Call For Solidarity March Over Kalkaji Gang Rape Case

Fans of actor Ajith Kumar organised a meeting across various districts in Tamil Nadu to launch a political party, projecting the actor as the chief minister candidate for 2031. Supporters displayed banners, performed rituals, and announced a car as the proposed party symbol alongside releasing a flag. The group also articulated political stances, including opposition to the NEET examination. However, representatives and sources close to the actor clarified that Ajith Kumar has no connection to the initiative and has previously maintained a clear stance against joining politics or endorsing any political outfits. The actor's team maintained complete unawareness of the unauthorized gathering and the use of the actor's image or racing car visuals for political activities.

Delhi faces grave questions regarding women's safety following four reported rape cases involving minor victims within fourteen days. In Kalkaji, a 17-year-old was allegedly gangraped in Asta Kunj Park by three men impersonating police officers. One accused was injured in an encounter and arrested alongside two accomplices. Other incidents include the alleged rape of a 6-year-old on Deshbandhu Gupta Road, an 11-year-old assaulted in a tailor's shop in Saroj Bazaar, and the gangrape and murder of a 16-year-old found in Saurabh Nagar.

Addressing the United Nations General Assembly, a statement outlined warnings to Iran regarding its nuclear programme and regional security. The address noted that Iran was offered economic cooperation in exchange for ending its nuclear ambitions and support for terror, which was refused. It stated that Iran's air force, navy, and nuclear sites had suffered major damage. The statement indicated that Iran might agree to a deal following the upcoming US midterm elections, projecting that a finalised agreement would lead to lower oil prices across global markets, while maintaining that Iran would never be permitted to develop nuclear weapons.

The US administration has expressed strong support for the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) to shift Middle Eastern energy infrastructure and oil transport away from Iran-controlled choke points. The multi-modal corridor aims to connect India, the Gulf, and Europe through shipping routes, rail links, electricity cables, clean hydrogen pipelines, and digital networks. However, regional conflict in the Middle East has posed major security challenges, bringing key infrastructure and ports like Haifa under threat and impacting the forward momentum of the project.
