A major landslide in North Sikkim's Mangan district has partially blocked two rivers, the Teesta and the Chiyabong, following a hillside collapse near their confluence along the Naga and Tosa Road. A TVK functionary named Kanan was chased and hacked to death by unidentified miscreants in Chennai between Adyar and Thiruvanmiyur.
