The Jharkhand High Court has dismissed an interlocutory application seeking a stay on the framing of charges in an 8.86-acre land case. The Enforcement Directorate has alleged illegal acquisition, possession, and transfer of land in Ranchi's Bargain Circle using forged documents, generating proceeds of crime. Following the High Court's refusal to grant relief or drop proceedings, formal charges under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act are set to be framed in the trial court.

A student at IIT Bombay died by suicide in a hostel room following an examination. Delhi Police have solved the gang rape and murder case of a 16-year-old minor girl within 72 hours, apprehending four individuals, including three juveniles and an adult identified as Shivam, alias Sudama.
