The Tamil Nadu Assembly has passed a resolution seeking greater use of Tamil as the principal language in the Madras High Court. While the DMK supported the resolution, calling the demand its brainchild and highlighting Karunanidhi's efforts in securing classical language status for Tamil, the TVK maintained that its resolution is different and should not be claimed as anyone's child. The All India Trinamool Congress has written letters to the President of India and the Governor of West Bengal regarding recent attacks and vandalism at its offices across the state. The party has sought urgent appointments for its delegations to highlight alleged lawlessness, systematic misuse of police, and party office vandalism by opposition workers. Trinamool Congress also alleged that police failed to intervene despite repeated calls during the incidents.
