Vijay Deverakonda stated, "Gaming apps are completely legal. Recognized by the government, licensed as a business... fully registered, recognized by the Supreme Court and various state governments." He maintained that he did not take any money for the promotion, which he undertook in 2016, and discontinued it on moral grounds. The ED is probing financial trails and digital advertisements, with further summons and evidence collection expected in the ongoing investigation.
