In a legal world being reshaped by artificial intelligence, digital evidence, data privacy regulations and alternative dispute resolution, law schools face a challenge of preparing students for tomorrow’s legal landscape. At Lloyd Law College, Greater Noida, the answer lies in reimagining legal education itself. Established in 2003, the college—which has over 6,500 students across its BA LLB and LLB programmes—produces graduates who are equally comfortable in courtrooms, corporate boardrooms, arbitration centres and public service roles. Ranked No. 19 in 2022, the college is at No. 8 this year—the most improved law college.

What sets Lloyd apart is its belief that law cannot be taught in isolation. It has invested heavily in experiential learning—moot courts, mock trials, arbitration simulations, legal drafting workshops and client counselling exercises. According to Dr Mohd. Salim, senior director and dean, the college’s 25-plus skill development centres—including the Lloyd Institute of Mediation & Arbitration, Moot Society, Trial Advocacy Centre, Forensic Science Centre and judiciary preparation platforms—help develop expertise.

One focus area at Lloyd’s is digital evidence and cyber law. As courts grapple with electronic records, social media content and cybercrime investigations, lawyers are expected to understand technology as much as legal doctrine. Lloyd has established specialised digital forensics and cybersecurity facilities that allow students to gain hands-on exposure to evidence analysis, cyber investigations and tech-driven legal challenges. With India’s Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) framework creating opportunities in privacy law, compliance and governance, Lloyd has new courses to prepare students for this fast-growing area of legal practice. The college has ventured into AI, intellectual property rights and cyber governance—areas that will define future legal careers.

Lloyd has collaborations withPenn State Law, the University of Colombo Faculty of Law and the University of Buckingham for student exchanges, research collaborations and exposure to global legal systems. It has ties with law firms, corporate legal teams, judiciary experts and industry associations across India.

As Lloyd Law College positions itself at the intersection of law, technology, innovation and practice, its goal is to produce lawyers who are not merely ready for the future, but equipped to shape it.
