A fresh CCTV footage from opposite the collapsed Satya Niketan building shows a shopkeeper making a narrow escape as the five-storey structure comes crashing down. The death toll in Sunday’s PG hostel collapse rose to six after one more person rescued during overnight operations was brought dead, officials said. Eleven people have been rescued so far, while around 30-50 students are feared trapped under the rubble.

Members of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad staged a protest at the Municipal Corporation of Delhi Civic Centre following a collapse incident, demanding the resignation of the civic body commissioner. Protesters gathered outside the main building, raising slogans against the civic body's administration. According to the police, around 150 to 200 students gathered at the premises, with some attempting to forcibly enter the building, leading to jostling with security personnel. Around 15 students were detained and taken to the Kamla Market police station, where action under the Delhi Police Act was initiated.

Following the collapse of a paying guest accommodation building in Delhi, a magisterial inquiry has been ordered after an on-site review.
