The US-Iran conflict has escalated, with Iranian cruise missiles striking two UAE oil tankers in the Strait of Hormuz, resulting in the death of one Indian sailor and injuries to six other Indian nationals. In response, India's Foreign Ministry summoned Iran's Deputy Ambassador Mohammad Jawed Hosseini. The United States has launched strikes on Iran's Kish and Qeshm islands, while Iran retaliated against US military targets in Kuwait, Bahrain, and Jordan. President Trump announced a 20 percent reimbursement fee for Gulf states for maritime protection. Meanwhile, a Russian Tu-214PU command aircraft landed in Tehran amid the strikes. In Nepal, Prime Minister Balen Shah is facing widespread protests from Gen Z supporters demanding his resignation following three self-immolation deaths, including that of a ride-sharing driver. In India, the Sashastra Seema Bal arrested a former US Navy officer, Jordan Brown, in Uttar Pradesh while he was attempting to cross into Nepal without valid travel documents.
