The family of a woman biker in Gurugram has demanded stern action against car driver Kalyan Basla following a road rage incident in the NCR region. The victim's father alleged the driver possessed a criminal mindset, while her brother stated all four occupants in the car were drunk, leaving his sister traumatised. Although video footage showed the vehicle intentionally edging into and hitting the motorcycle, the Gurugram police took suo motu cognizance to register an FIR only against unknown persons under rash and negligent driving provisions. As rash driving does not mandate immediate detention, the accused remains at large despite being identified and confessing on camera. Police indicated that sections pertaining to woman harassment and attempt to murder may be added once the victim consults lawyers and registers a formal complaint.

A parking attendant identified as Deepak has been arrested for assaulting Kargil War veteran Group Captain Amit Kumar Gupta in Gurugram. The retired IAF officer, who served in Operation Safed Sagar, was attacked with an iron rod over a parking dispute on September 10. Group Captain Gupta suffered head injuries and a fractured arm, leading to his hospitalisation. The accused, who rained blows on the veteran while he was attempting to park his car, was taken into custody following relentless coverage and questions raised by India Today regarding the delay in action by authorities.

Amid opposition scrutiny over Chief Minister Vijay's visit to London, the Tamil Nadu government has signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) to expand global capability centres in the state. The agreements, signed in London in the presence of Chief Minister Vijay, the CEO of Sigma Technology Group, and the managing director of Guidance Tamil Nadu, are set to bring substantial investment into the state and generate more than 2,000 high-value jobs. The developments follow questions raised about the visit after earlier public attention focused on events surrounding the trip.

A political controversy has erupted over the Chief Minister Vijay's visit to London regarding investor meetings and signed MoUs. The AIADMK has questioned the London trip, pointing out that an MoU was signed with a company headquartered in Noida that was incorporated in 1986 with Japan's Sumitomo Corporation. AIADMK leader Kovai Sathian termed the visit a waste of public money and taxpayers' expense, questioning the need to travel to the UK to sign deals with a firm already operating in India. Sathian compared the move to past trips made by MK Stalin and the DMK, calling the foreign tour an excursion.
