A political controversy has erupted following remarks made by former Vice President Hamid Ansari during the A.G. Noorani Memorial Lecture in New Delhi. The Election Commission has issued notices to several high-profile figures in Delhi over electoral roll discrepancies during the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise.
