10 disappear in Bhopal in 24 hours, teens among missing
Police have launched searches across Bhopal after multiple missing-person complaints were filed in a single day. Kolar and Ayodhya Nagar accounted for the most cases, while police teams are checking CCTV footage, mobile locations, call records and possible locations, including railway stations and bus stands.
Ten people, including two minors, were reported missing from different parts of Bhopal within the last 24 hours, with complaints registered across several police station areas.
Among those reported missing are minors aged between 16 and 19. In some cases, family members said the missing persons’ mobile phones were switched off after they left home, making the search more difficult.
Kolar and Ayodhya Nagar police station areas reported the highest number of cases, with three missing persons reported from each. Complaints were also registered in Ashoka Garden, TT Nagar, Ratibad and Awadhpuri police station areas.
In Ashoka Garden, a 17-year-old student left home to attend classes but did not return. Her family searched for her extensively and approached the police after finding no clue about her whereabouts.
In Ayodhya Nagar, missing person reports were registered for 19-year-old Garima, 24-year-old Tanu and 22-year-old Manish.
From the Kolar police station area, complaints were filed regarding the disappearance of 20-year-old Shivkant, 40-year-old Amarjeet and 45-year-old Tulsiram.
Cases were also registered concerning Muskan from TT Nagar, 30-year-old Anmol Soni from Ratibad and a 16-year-old girl from Awadhpuri.
Police said every missing person case was being treated seriously. Teams from the respective police stations are questioning family members and gathering information about possible locations.
CCTV footage from nearby areas is being examined, while searches are also being carried out at railway stations, bus stands and other public places.
Additional Police Commissioner Shailendra Singh Chauhan said police begin immediate action as soon as a missing person report is received.
He said the cyber team is examining mobile phone locations and call details, and police have appealed to citizens to immediately inform the nearest police station or police control room if they have any information about any of the missing persons.
