Had I known about Siya's relation, I would have reconsidered marriage: Father
Sia Goyal's father said her horoscope matched with Ketan Agarwal's before the engagement, with 27–28 gunas found to be compatible.

Father of Sia Goyal, who is accused of killing her fiance Ketan Agarwal to avoid marrying him, reiterated on Wednesday that he had no prior knowledge of his daughter's relationship with her boyfriend and co-accused, Chetan Chaudhary, and said he would have reconsidered the marriage alliance had he known about it.
Speaking to India Today TV after being questioned by Pune Police for nearly 12 hours, Praveen Goyal said that not even "one percent" of such a possibility had ever come to his notice, and that he conveyed the same to investigators.
“I have absolutely no information about this case. Had I known anything, I would have taken some action. I would have spoken to the concerned person and perhaps reconsidered the relationship if such information had come to me. But not even one percent of such a thing ever came to my notice,” he said.
The father also dismissed speculation that discussions had taken place about arranging another marriage alliance between members of the two families -- his son and Ketan's sister.
“No, absolutely not. Nothing of that sort exists in our family. There is no such custom or practice,” he said.
Goyal said the horoscopes of Sia and Ketan had been matched before their engagement and confirmed that Sia’s birth chart had been shared with Ketan’s family, who later informed him that the match was considered suitable.
“The other side had asked for Sia’s birth chart, so I provided it. Later, they informed me that 27-28 qualities (gunas) matched and that they approved of the match,” he said. As per Hindu beliefs, in the 36-point Ashtakoot system, scores between 26 and 32 indicate strong alignment.
Responding to a question about allegations concerning signatures on marriage-related documents, Goyal declined to comment further, saying the matter should be left to investigators.
“They informed me that some signatures were being found, so let them investigate and determine what happened,” he said.
Addressing allegations involving lawyer Ashutosh Srivastava, against whom Sia's brother, Sahil, has alleged intimidation and misrepresentation, Goyal denied ever engaging him.
“I have never hired him. I have never spoken to him, nor have I ever met him. We never hired him,” he said, adding that he had no knowledge of how Srivastava became associated with the case.
According to Goyal, while his daughter may have signed certain legal documents, neither he nor any member of his family had formally retained the lawyer.
“My daughter may have signed some documents that were presented to her, but beyond that, we never hired him,” he said.
Srivastava had sent a defamation notice to Sahil, accusing him of making false and defamatory allegations and seeking Rs 10 crore in damages.
Asked what he would say if his daughter were ultimately found guilty, Goyal said the law should take its course irrespective of personal relationships.
“If Sia is found guilty, she should receive the same punishment. That is my only prayer,” he said.
Ketan Agarwal, a 26-year-old real estate professional from Pune, was killed on June 18 after being pushed into a steep gorge at Lohagad Fort near Pune. While the incident was initially reported by his fiancee, Sia Goyal, as a hiking accident in which he allegedly slipped while taking photographs, a subsequent police investigation uncovered what authorities described as a premeditated murder plot.
Police allege that Sia, seeking to avoid the marriage, conspired with her boyfriend, Chetan Chaudhary, to kill Ketan. Both have been arrested and are currently in police custody.
