Ketan Agarwal was a 26-year-old Pune-based entrepreneur and the Director and Chief Marketing Officer of Success Group, his family's real estate business. A resident of Gahunje in Pune district, he played an active role in expanding the company while focusing on sustainable and innovative development projects. He was committed to combining economic growth with environmentally responsible real estate practices.
Agarwal held a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Symbiosis University and earned a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from the Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business in the United States.
In his personal life, Ketan was engaged to Siya Goyal in February after both families approved the match. His family said they had known Goyal's family for over three decades, and the couple was scheduled to marry in November in Udaipur.
Ketan died on June 18 after falling into a gorge during a trek at Lohagad Fort near Pune. Initially treated as an accidental death, the case later turned into a murder investigation after police uncovered alleged inconsistencies in witness statements, CCTV footage, digital evidence and other findings during the probe. Police subsequently arrested his fiancée, Siya Goyal, and her alleged lover, Chetan Chaudhary, accusing them of conspiring to kill him.
