Fashion designer Seema Sajdeh's upcoming entry into Prime Video's Alliance led to an emotional moment on the show after host Kunal Kemmu asked her ex-husband, actor Sohail Khan, how he felt seeing her there. Sohail, who had entered the show a few days earlier, responded warmly as the former couple appeared under one roof as contestants.

The moment drew a strong reaction inside the house. Actor Kushal Tandon and other contestants whistled, clapped and hooted after Sohail spoke about Seema. The exchange quickly became one of the main talking points around Seema's entry into the show.

Kunal asked, "Sohail bhai, aapse puchne chahenge ki aapko inko (Seema Sajdeh) ko yaha dekh kar kaisa lag raha hai (I would like to ask you how it feels to see Seema Sajdeh here?." To this, Sohail said, "Lovely, I have lived with this beautiful lady for 25 years. Let me admit on national television that if there was any mistake between us, I take the onus and the responsibility."

The couple, who married in 1998 and separated in 2022, co-parent their two sons, Nirvaan and Yohaan.

What Seema Sajdeh said on entering Alliance?

Although Seema and Sohail have parted ways in real life, Seema said they would always remain each other's allies for life.

In an exclusive chat with India Today, she said they had spoken before entering the house and that Sohail had only one piece of advice for her. "I think we just talked about having fun and being ourselves. And the last thing he said to me was, 'Don't get bullied.' So I said, 'Okay, you are there.' So there's a little comfort in that," she said with a smile.

Speaking about how their equation may play out on the show, Seema said some alliances go beyond the game. "We are Nirvan and Yohan's parents. Our alliance is well-established. Like it or not, we are an alliance. Now, for the sake of the game, if that changes, I'll be very shocked. That will take me by surprise," she said.

She also spoke about her sons' reactions to the show. "My older one said to me, 'Don't you dare discuss me with anybody on the show, including Papa.' I said, 'Why would I talk about you? Everything is not about you,'" she said. Seema added that her younger son was very excited and pushed both his parents to do the show, saying, "You have to do this, and you have to wear this."

Seema also said she did not seek advice from anyone in her celebrity circle, including her friends and co-stars from The Fabulous Lives of Bollywood Wives. "No. They don't even know," she said.

Explaining why she agreed to join Alliance, she said, "I liked the format of the show. It's a very clean show. It's all about the games, and it looks fun," adding that it was not about "washing your dirty linen in public" and felt like "one of the better, classier, cleaner game shows" that she could do.

Along with Seema, TV actor Aly Goni will also enter the show as a wild card. Alliance already features contestants including Kushal Tandon, Mini Mathur, Zaid Darbar, Niti Taylor and Nikhil Chinapa.
