Sheetal slammed contestant Shilpa Shinde for her treatment of Shivangi, accusing the senior actor of showing no empathy despite knowing that her sister was unwell.
The controversy erupted after the episode showed Shivangi, who was reportedly unwell, being asked by Shilpa to clean the room by herself. The scene quickly went viral, with several viewers rallying behind Shivangi and praising her for staying calm throughout the confrontation.
Reacting to the episode on social media, Sheetal criticised Shilpa's behaviour, calling it "inhuman" and "cruel."
"I am extremely disappointed today seeing such a senior actor like Shilpa Shinde being so inhuman and cruel towards Shivangi. Knowing the fact that she was unwell, still Shilpa kept insisting that Shivangi do the work alone just because others stepped in to help her. The entire house could see this, but Shilpa was adamant about taking revenge on Shivangi. God knows for what reason, but whatever Shilpa did today was not fair at all (sic)," she wrote.
Sheetal also appealed to Shivangi's fans to support the actor, saying she had played the game with honesty and kindness since the very beginning.
"I stand by my sister, who has played a fair game since day one, and I call upon every Shivangian to come and support our butterfly girl, who has spread nothing but love, peace, kindness and positivity towards all her inmates (sic)," she added.
The confrontation came after Lock Upp 2 introduced a fresh twist in the game, assigning Shilpa the role of a "controller" and Shivangi that of a "dependent". During the episode, Shilpa was also seen instructing Shivangi to limit her interactions with fellow contestant Harshad Chopda.
