NEET protest FIR names Bihar man. He says he has been in Russia for months

Mohammad Sadaqat made the claim in a video purportedly shot in Russia, where he said he has been staying.
The claim surfaced as the Bihar government announced that it would withdraw all cases registered in connection with the protests and release those arrested in relation to the incidents. A state home department notification said the government was withdrawing "all FIRs, complaints and show-cause notices issued in connection with incidents that took place before 6 am on July 26".
In the purported video, which has gone viral on social media, Sadaqat questioned why a case had been registered against him. He said he was not present at the protest in Bahadurganj on July 25 as he had been living in Russia for the past four months. He also demanded a fair investigation and asked the authorities to remove his name from the FIR.
PTI could not independently verify the authenticity of the video. When contacted, Kishanganj Superintendent of Police Hari Mohan Shukla neither confirmed nor denied Sadaqat's claim, but said, "All those who have any grievances related to the protests could approach the police for redressal."
The home department said people arrested in connection with the protests would be released immediately. A total of 694 people, nearly half of them minors, were detained for allegedly trying to enforce the state-wide bandh called last week to protest against the paper leak.
