He praised the actor's profound dedication to the craft and wrote, "I’ve always known you’re an extraordinary actor. But this journey made me fall in love with the artist you are and even more with the human being behind the artist (sic)."
Dhar recalled witnessing "something incredibly rare" during the filming of intense sequences—including the 26/11 sequence, the final tea shop scene, the Pathankot massacre, the pump house scene, and the court exterior—noting that the actor never opted for the easy choice. He described the performance as a masterclass in precision where every emotion, silence, glance, and beat was pitch-perfect.
Reflecting on the sheer consistency of the performance, the director added, "It genuinely felt like watching someone touched by divine grace. As though Maa Saraswati herself had placed her hand on your head and blessed you with every ounce of artistic brilliance she could (sic)."
