Amid the dispute, Rakhi Sawant came out in support of Ranveer and took a swipe at Farhan Akhtar, alleging that the filmmaker was using Ranveer's name to stay in the spotlight.

During a recent outing in the city, the Bigg Boss fame actor spoke to paparazzi and said that Ranveer was being unfairly targeted. She also claimed that members of FWICE were "jealous" of Ranveer.

Rakhi Sawant dares FWICE to try banning Salman Khan

While speaking about the row, Rakhi expressed immense anger toward those targeting Ranver, asserting that "everyone is jealous" of his superstar status. She took a jibe at Farhan and said, "Farhan Akhtar jitna apni filmon mein superhit nahi hua, woh kahin dikha nahi, ab Ranveer ke naam par publicity nikal raha hai aur woh dikh gaya hai (Farhan Akhtar was never as successful in his own films, and now he is seeking publicity using Ranveer’s name and it’s obvious)."

Rakhi challenged FWICE to "try banning my brother Salman Khan," claiming he would easily shut them down. She further emphasised that Ranveer "has achieved success through his own hard work," adding that both he and his wife have built their careers entirely on their own.

Rakhi doubled down on her challenge, stating that if the federation truly has the guts, they should try targeting Salman, who "will put you in your place." She accused FWICE of being envious because Ranveer "has delivered back-to-back superhit films."

FWICE issues non-cooperation directive against Ranveer

On Monday, FWICE issued a non-cooperation directive against Ranveer after Farhan Akhtar approached the body regarding the Don 3 dispute in April.

Following this, Ranveer's spokesperson issued a statement on his behalf, and said, "Ranveer Singh holds the highest regard for the film fraternity and for everyone associated with the Don franchise. Throughout the recent developments surrounding Don 3, he has consciously chosen to maintain silence, believing that professional discussions and personal equations are best handled with dignity, maturity and mutual respect."

Ranveer's last theatrical release was director Aditya Dhar's espionage thriller Dhurandhar: The Revenge (2026).
