Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut shared a childhood picture of herself dressed as Goddess Sita for a school play. The BJP MP was 12 when she played the mythological character and shared the throwback picture on her Instagram Story.
The photo featured the 40-year-old actor dressed as Sita, standing on stage alongside her classmates, who were dressed as Lord Hanuman and Lord Ram. In the caption, she also mentioned her classmates by name. “Ram-Chandresh Kumari, Hanuma ji-Parul Modgil class of 1997, Hill View Public School (Sarkaghat) District-Mandi (sic),” the caption read.

In another Instagram story, she shared her close-up picture as Sita and wrote, “My aashirvaad to all the liberals” along with laughing emoticons.
Kangana's latest post comes amid her war of words with Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) chief spokesperson Saurav Das. Recently, Das responded to Kangana's remarks after she mocked his age and described him as a "useless and unemployed" person in a series of social media posts following the recent NEET paper leak protests.
In a series of posts, the Fashion actor wrote that she searched for Das online and questioned his claim of being a student. "Googled this student and he is 28. How he claims himself to be a student I have no clue," she wrote.
The BJP MP compared Das’s public profile with her own achievements, pointing out that while she entered politics only two years ago, she had already spent two decades in public life and had won two National Awards by the time she was his age.
Das dismissed her claims about his background, saying she had relied on incorrect information available online. He clarified that he is 27 years old, not 28, and said he has never claimed to be an active student. "Even Google is giving Kangana incorrect information about me. I'm 27, not 28, and I am not a student. I am a journalist. I never claimed to be an active student," Das told news agency ANI.
He added that learning should not be confined to educational institutions. "I am a student of life. Regardless of one's age, one should remain a student of life. If one isn't a student of life, wisdom won't come. Kangana, too, should learn how to become a student of life," he said.
In one of the posts, Kangana also strongly criticised the conduct of some participants in the recent anti-NEET protests, alleging that abusive and obscene language had been used against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his late mother.
The remarks came days after the CJP concluded its protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar over irregularities in the NEET examination. The agitation, which drew thousands of students and saw activist Sonam Wangchuk join during his hunger strike, sparked a political confrontation between the Opposition and the Centre over examination paper leaks.
