Salman Khan launches multi-phase relief campaign for Assam flood victims: Source
Salman Khan has teamed up with his fanclub in Assam to support the flood-affected region through his NGO, Being Human. The initiative includes distributing ready-to-eat food packets and essential supplies, with plans to provide ration kits and aid in rebuilding schools and hospitals.

The initiative began with the distribution of ready-to-eat food packets and other essential supplies. Distribution of ration kits and construction aid will follow in the coming phases.
While several celebrities, including Bhumi Pednekar and Adil Hussain, have been raising awareness about the Assam floods on social media, Khan is among the few who have begun on-ground relief work in the region.
In addition to food supplies, the team has also planned to provide essential items including medicines, drinking water, sanitary pads and mosquito repellents.

Since then, lakhs of people have been displaced, dozens have lost their lives, and large parts of the state continue to grapple with the aftermath.
The flood situation showed further signs of improvement on July 28, with no fresh deaths reported and the number of affected people dropping to 4.45 lakh. Water levels also receded across several flood-hit districts, according to officials.
The death toll remained unchanged at 68, while no one was reported missing, an official bulletin said. A five-member central team also visited Sivasagar, one of the worst-affected districts, to assess the situation in Upper Assam.
Despite the improving conditions, six districts continue to remain affected by the floods. Relief and restoration efforts are underway, with 90 relief camps currently sheltering 28,695 displaced people. Another 94 relief distribution centres are also operational across the state.
