So you are amongst the first audiences in the world to see this film." He then added, "Just a quick, who was better, Matt or Tom? They are both fantastic."
Nolan also thanked the audience for turning up and said it was always a thrill to be in India. He said he had visited the country twice before and that every visit had been special. He also said he had long wanted to launch one of his films here and watch it with Indian audiences, whom he described as some of the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable cinematic audiences in the world.
Nolan was in India in 2019 to shoot Tenet with John David Washington and Robert Pattinson. Before that, he visited the country in 2011 to film portions of The Dark Knight Rises at Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur.
