The 4K re-release of Allu Arjun's Happy has brought back memories for fans across Kerala, with videos from theatres showing audiences singing and dancing to the film's popular songs. Among those joining the celebrations was actor Anaswara Rajan, who attended a screening along with her sister Aiswarya Rajan and a group of friends.
A video shared by Aiswarya on social media captured the siblings enjoying the atmosphere inside the theatre, with fans dancing in front of the screen. Sharing the clip, she captioned it, "Childhood jukebox in theatres," referring to the much-loved soundtrack, which continues to enjoy a strong following in the state.
The film, re-released on June 11, has reportedly opened to an impressive response across Kerala, with screenings in centres including Kochi, Kozhikode and Thiruvananthapuram drawing enthusiastic crowds. Trade reports suggest that the film grossed around Rs 27–30 lakh on its opening day in the state.
Nearly two decades later, distributor Khader Hassan of Rathak Arts has brought the film back to theatres in a remastered 4K version. Directed by A Karunakaran, Happy was originally released in 2006 and went on to become one of the films that established Allu Arjun's popularity among Malayali audiences. Dubbed into Malayalam as Happy Be Happy, the romantic action comedy reportedly enjoyed a theatrical run of over 175 days.
Meanwhile, Anaswara was last seen in the Tamil teen romantic comedy With Love. The actor, who made her Telugu debut with Roshan Meka's Champion, is also part of Itlu Arjuna and Bobby Kolli's upcoming film starring Chiranjeevi.
