Chiranjeevi, Naga Babu aid Gabbar Singh actor after brain stroke, offer Rs 5 lakh

Chiranjeevi and Naga Babu extended financial assistance to actor Ramesh after he suffered a brain stroke. He is currently admitted to Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad.

After Gabbar Singh actor Ramesh suffered a brain stroke, Tollywood actor Chiranjeevi came forward with financial assistance for his treatment. The veteran actor contributed Rs 3 lakh, while his brother Naga Babu added Rs 2 lakh.

Ramesh is currently undergoing treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) at Apollo Hospital in Hyderabad, where his condition is being closely monitored.

According to TV9 Telugu, Chiranjeevi has been in regular touch with Apollo Hospital's Dr Subba Reddy to receive updates on Ramesh's health. He also personally handed over a cheque of Rs 3 lakh to the actor's family and assured them of support through the state government's health insurance scheme.

The actor wished Ramesh a speedy recovery and expressed hope that he would return to good health soon.

Naga Babu also extended financial assistance of Rs 2 lakh towards Ramesh's treatment. A photograph of Chiranjeevi and Naga Babu with Ramesh's family surfaced on social media, saying both actors had stepped in after learning about his condition and assured the family of all possible support.

The caption read, "Megastar @KChiruTweets Garu extended Rs 3 lakh towards 'Gabbar Singh' actor Ramesh's treatment after learning of his brain stroke and assured all possible support. Shri @NagaBabuOffl Garu also contributed Rs 2 lakh (sic)."

Meanwhile, Gabbar Singh director Harish Shankar also visited Apollo Hospital after hearing about Ramesh's condition. He met the actor's family, offered words of encouragement and extended financial assistance.

Ramesh is best known for his role in Pawan Kalyan's 2012 film Gabbar Singh. Although he played one of the antagonist's henchmen, his comic timing – particularly in the memorable Antyakshari sequence at the police station – earned him appreciation from audiences and made him a familiar face in Telugu cinema.
