Actor Jr NTR has been advised complete rest for six to eight weeks after sustaining a shoulder injury during an activity earlier today, according to an official statement issued by his team on Tuesday evening.

The statement mentioned that the actor underwent a medical evaluation soon after the incident.

The evaluation was carried out by a team of attending specialists headed by Dr J Madhusudan Rao and Dr RA Purnachandra Tejaswi. In an official statement released on Monday, July 27, Jr NTR's office assured fans that there is no cause for panic.

Jr NTR's team in its statement, wrote, "We regret to inform everyone that Mr. NTR sustained an unfortunate shoulder injury earlier this evening (sic)."

"Following a thorough medical evaluation, the team of doctors headed by Dr J Madhusudan Rao and Dr R A Purnachandra Tejaswi has advised complete rest for six to eight weeks to ensure a smooth and complete recovery (sic)," the statement added.

"We would like to assure everyone that there is absolutely no cause for panic. We will continue to share official updates regarding his health and recovery as and when appropriate. Thank you for your understanding and continued support (sic)," the actor's team concluded.

On the professional front, Jr NTR's last Telugu theatrical release was director Koratala Siva's Devara: Part 1 (2024). The film featured actors Janhvi Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan and Prakash Raj in key roles.

Jr NTR also made his Hindi film debut with director Ayan Mukerji's War 2 (2025), alongside actors Hrithik Roshan, Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, Ashutosh Rana and Varun Badola.

The actor is currently busy with his under-production film, Dragon (2027), directed by Prashanth Neel. The first look of the film was released on May 19, ahead of the actor's birthday.
