'Peddi Nanna' Ram Charan says Peddi changed the way daughter Klin Kaara sees him
Actor Ram Charan, at the success meet of Peddi, shared how the film changed the way his daughter addresses him. He said the response feels unlike any earlier hit and thanked the team behind the film.

Peddi has changed things for actor Ram Charan, even at home. During a light-hearted moment at the film's success meet on Tuesday, the 41-year-old revealed that his daughter, Klin Kara, has started calling him by his screen name in the film: Peddi, meaning important, big and elder in Telugu.
The actor's statement came as he started to express gratitude to fans. He said the love for the performance he has received feels different from any success he has experienced before.
During the success meet attended by Chiranjeevi as chief guest, Charan's personal anecdote drew cheers from the crowd. He revealed that before the release of Peddi, his daughter Klin Kaara used to call him “Nanna” (father). However, after the film, she has begun calling him “Hey Peddi”. When he told her she could not address her father that way, she started calling him “Peddi Nanna."
Charan joked that the film’s success had become so overwhelming that he was beginning to worry people would remember him more as Peddi than as Ram Charan.
Talking about the film’s reception, the RRR actor said that while every successful film brings happiness, Peddi gave him a feeling unlike anything he had experienced before. Thanking audiences for embracing the film, he noted that viewers across age groups, from children to elderly, had contributed to making its success even more memorable.
Charan also thanked director Buchi Babu Sana for giving him the opportunity to play the role and acknowledged filmmaker Sukumar for introducing the director to him. Describing Sukumar as a mentor figure, he said the filmmaker is among the first people he turns to whenever he needs guidance.
