Ram Charan's Peddi earns Rs 366 crore, beats South India's 2026 box office records
Ram Charan's Peddi has crossed Rs 366 crore worldwide in its nine-day run, according to official figures. The film has become South India's highest-grossing release of 2026 so far.

Actor Ram Charan's Peddi has earned over Rs 300 crore at the worldwide box office as it enters its second weekend. In an official announcement, the film's team said the film had become South India's No 1 grosser of 2026.
According to the official figures shared by the producers, director Buchi Babu Sana's sports drama has crossed Rs 366 crore globally within nine days. In the same announcement, the team mentioned that the film became South India's No 1 grosser of 2026.
The film, written and directed by Buchi Babu Sana, stars Ram Charan in the title role alongside Shiva Rajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor, Divyendu Sharma and Jagapathi Babu. It had premieres across the world on June 3, 2026, before its worldwide theatrical release on June 4, 2026.
Peddi is produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner, in collaboration with Mythri Movie Makers and IVY Entertainment. In North India, the film was released by Jio Studios following the success of Dhurandhar, Dhurandhar The Revenge and Raja Shivaji.
Peddi narrates the story of a young man who rises through fierce sporting contests, confronting rivalry, pride and the weight of expectation. Ram Charan underwent several transformations to portray a wrestler in the film.
India Today, in its review for the film, wrote, "Visually, Peddi often impresses. R Rathnavelu's cinematography gives the film a distinct identity. Whether it is the raw energy of the wrestling arenas, the texture of the jaggery mills, the dusty roads of the village or the way darkness is used during several night sequences, the visuals constantly reinforce the film's emotional grounding. The village never feels like a set dressed up for a shoot, which many pan-Indian films fail to achieve. Which makes the VFX shortcomings all the more noticeable."
Peddi's music has been composed by AR Rahman.
