Director Anil Ravipudi and actor Venkatesh Daggubati's new film was launched in Hyderabad, with Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty confirmed as part of the cast. The project brings together established collaborators again and is being lined up for Sankranthi 2027.
Director Anil Ravipudi's much-awaited collaboration with actor Venkatesh Daggubati was officially launched on Wednesday with a grand puja ceremony in Hyderabad. The ceremony also put an end to weeks of speculation surrounding the film's female leads, confirming Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty paired opposite Venkatesh and Kalyan Ram, respectively.
The launch event was attended by several prominent names from the Telugu film industry, including veteran filmmaker K Raghavendra Rao, writer Vijayendra Prasad, producers Allu Aravind and Dil Raju, and presenter Nandamuri Kalyan Ram. Lead cast members Venkatesh, Kalyan Ram, Keerthy Suresh and Krithi Shetty were also present, along with music composer GV Prakash Kumar.

The project marks the fifth collaboration between Venkatesh and Anil Ravipudi after delivering successful films together, including F2, F3 and Sankranthiki Vasthunam. The film also marks a reunion between Ravipudi and Kalyan Ram, who previously worked together on Pataas, the director's debut feature. According to the makers, regular shooting for the film is scheduled to commence on June 22.
Tentatively titled VenkyAnil5, the film is being planned as a major Sankranthi 2027 release and marks another reunion between one of Telugu cinema's most successful actor-director combinations.
Backed by Sahu Garapati under the Shine Screens banner, the film is being produced in association with Suresh Productions and Zee Studios. While details regarding the story are currently under wraps, the casting announcement and launch event have already generated significant interest among fans, particularly given the team's strong track record at the box office.
Meanwhile, Venkatesh is also working on the upcoming family entertainer directed by Trivikram Srinivas.
