A woman based in Bengaluru went viral on X after sharing that she convinced her office administration to replace evening snacks like vada pav and samosas with fresh fruits.

Aaina Narang shared a picture showing plastic containers filled with assorted fruits, including bananas, mangoes and papayas, arranged on a table in her office.

"Convinced the office admin to get fruits instead of vada pav/samosa as evening snacks," she said in the caption of the post.

The post garnered over one million views soon after being made available online. Users, in the meantime, applauded the healthier snack choice while also discussing changing food habits in workplaces.

“Nice! The normalisation of samosas and other fried snacks as everyday food is a relatively new phenomenon in the Indian food culture. It's part of the prosperity curse. While growing up, having one or two samosas over the weekend was the norm,” a user said.

Several other users also praised the initiative, saying they hoped more offices would adopt similar practices by offering healthier alternatives instead of deep-fried snacks.

Others appreciated the company’s decision to offer fruits instead, arguing that healthier snack options at workplaces could encourage better eating habits without compromising convenience.
