Kia India recorded its highest-ever June wholesale sales since entering the Indian market, dispatching 24,552 units in June 2026, a 19 per cent year-on-year (YoY) increase over the 20,625 units sold in the same month last year.

The strong June performance also helped the automaker register its best-ever first-half (H1) sales. Between January and June 2026, Kia dispatched 1,63,749 units, up 15.2 per cent from 1,42,139 units recorded during the corresponding period in 2025.

The company attributed the growth to sustained demand for its SUV and MPV portfolio, led by the new Seltos, Sonet and Carens Clavis, while the MY26 Syros has also witnessed encouraging customer response. Kia added that its electric vehicle lineup, led by the Clavis EV, has continued to gain traction in the market.

Commenting on the performance, Atul Sood, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, Kia India, said the company had achieved a significant milestone by closing the first half of the year with record sales.

He noted that strong demand for the new Seltos, Sonet and Carens Clavis, along with the positive response to the MY26 Syros, drove the growth. Sood also highlighted that many existing Kia customers are upgrading to the new Seltos, reflecting confidence in the brand's products.

According to the company, the Clavis EV has also received a favourable response, supported by government initiatives promoting electric mobility and Kia's recently introduced Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) programme. The automaker said it remains focused on expanding its EV presence while enhancing the ownership experience.

Kia added that the new Seltos continues to strengthen its position in the midsize SUV segment with its updated design, connected technology and enhanced safety package. The SUV also holds a 5-star Bharat NCAP safety rating, making it the highest-scoring internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle tested under the programme.

The Sonet remained one of the company's highest-selling models, while the Carens and Carens Clavis continued to attract family buyers and customers seeking lifestyle-oriented mobility solutions. The recently introduced MY26 Syros has also contributed to the company's growth with its improved value proposition.

On the retail front, Kia India currently has a network of 892 customer touchpoints across 407 cities. The company also operates 133 Certified Pre-Owned outlets, offering vehicle exchange, instant payment and used-car ownership services.
