Man slits female friend's throat on her way to police station, then injures himself
The accused, after attacking his friend, then injured himself with the blade; traffic police rushed both to hospital, and they are now out of danger.
A man attacked his female friend with a blade after a dispute in Indore, seriously injuring her, when she was on her way to the women’s police station to lodge a complaint.
According to the information available, the woman and the man had an argument over an issue. Following the dispute, the woman decided to go to the women’s police station to file a complaint. As she was heading towards the police station, the man attacked her neck with a blade.
The injured woman, covered in blood, ran onto the road seeking help. Traffic police constables Sumant Singh Kachhawa, Ravi Mandeliya and Virendra Bhuriya noticed her and immediately rushed to her aid.
The police personnel provided first aid and used a handkerchief to bandage her neck. They then stopped an auto-rickshaw and took her to a private hospital for immediate treatment.
After attacking the woman, the man also struck his own neck with a blade, leaving himself seriously injured. Traffic police constables Ravi Mandeliya and Krishna took him to the hospital, where he received treatment.
Both the woman and the man are currently reported to be out of danger.
The prompt response and presence of mind shown by the traffic police personnel proved crucial in getting the injured woman and the man to the hospital in time. Police are investigating the case and are looking into the reason behind the dispute and the sequence of events before taking further action.
